In 2009, we set out to create the ultimate platform to showcase the best bass anglers in Canada.   Not only did the inaugural Berkley B1 deliver this, but it also created an unforgettable experience for the thousands of fishing enthusiasts and competitors who were there to witness it. From the tension on the hot seats to the pouring of the champagne, the Berkley B1 succeeded in accomplishing exactly what it was intended to do. Namely, to gather the best bass anglers in Canada and conduct the ultimate shoot out.

In 2010, the Berkley B1 returns to blow the doors off the Canadian bass fishing scene and identify Canada’s best tournament anglers.

As an avid tournament angler, event producer and media personality myself, I am confident beyond a doubt that the Berkley B1 competition will lead the way to raising bass fishing awareness across Canada. Join me and the entire Berkley B1 team, as we raise the bar to new heights, induce even more adrenaline pumping moments and set the stage for the ultimate showdown of the year. On the weekend of October 2/3, 2010, we will once again crown Canada’s best bass anglers and find out who is truly deserving of being the 1.
